Sexual abuse is any form of non-consensual sexual contact (verbal, visual, or physical). To be consensual it must be informed, capable, and unforced consent. Child sexual abuse is any form of sexual contact between a minor and an adult, or two minors where one is either older than the other or in a position of power over the other. It is one of the leading public health issues facing society today, with the most serious array of consequences (d2l.org)
Our Solution
Education leads to prevention, and prevention is not passive. We can't address what we don't understand. To end child sexual abuse we must understand the scope of this issue and take the steps necessary to prevent it - starting first in our own families, communities, and circles of influence.
